This design is composed of Raw Untreated Lava Rock and Titanium Plated Lava Rock. The Titanium adheres to the natural Lava Rock and does not flake off. 

Lava Rock is a natural diffuser for essential oils so a few drops can be applied every few weeks or as needed. I find the best way to apply the oil is to warm a few drops up in the palm of your hand and then rub the beads together with the oil between both palms until fully applied to the beads.
